RCB Captain Faf du Plessis' Blunt 'Virat Kohli Remark' Following Team Victory Over SRH

Faf du Plessis, skipper of Royal Challengers Bengaluru, stated that his team's batting unit hasn't done much with the bat in the IPL 2024, but he is pleased to see them clicking as a unit against Sunrisers Hyderabad.

Royal Challengers Bengaluru captain Faf du Plessis was relieved after his club ended a six-game losing streak with a 35-run victory over Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL on Thursday. "In the last two games, we've shown incredible fighting spirit. The SRH game had 270+, and we got 260. The KKR game also had one run. We've been close for a while, but you need to win games to build confidence as a team. Will sleep better tonight. You cannot speak or pretend confidence in the group. "The only thing that gives confidence is performance," he added during the post-match presentation ceremony.

While Virat Kohli has been the team's leading scorer, Du Plessis is pleased that other batters are also making runs.

"The competition is so fierce, and the teams are so powerful, that you will be hurt if you are not at your best. More players are scoring runs now. During the first half of the tournament, only Virat scored runs. Greeny will benefit greatly from scoring runs right now."

Chasing 207, SRH's overly aggressive approach with the bat backfired, leaving them 69-5 in the eighth over and unable to recover.

"It was not the best night. We were a little off with the ball and, regrettably, lost a couple of wickets during our innings. We decided to bat first, and it appears that is helping us. The captain of SRH, Pat Cummins, stated, "We thought we were a bowl-first team before the last few wins."

"The boys are doing great, but since it's T20 cricket, you can't expect to win every match. Avoid thinking about this too much. Speaking about their high-risk, high-reward strategy at bat, Cummins stated: "I believe it's our forte. It won't function in every game. Even though things didn't go our way in the first one or two games, we were still able to secure a respectable total. I still believe that this is how our boys should go on."

From one MS to another, Marcus Stoinis follows in Dhoni's footsteps to ace record chase against CSK:He stated, "In big games..."

Marcus Stoinis of LSG blasted a boundary to earn a six-wicket win over CSK in the IPL 2024, finishing in the same style as MS Dhoni.

Marcus Stoinis of Lucknow Super Giants shakes hands with Chennai Super Kings' MS Dhoni (L) at the end of the Indian              Premier League (IPL) match (AFP).

More than 400 runs were made at the MA Chidambaram Stadium on Tuesday, and Marcus Stoinis of Australia was the last man standing. Stoinis, who silenced the packed Chepauk with his counterattacking innings, smashed his maiden Indian Premier League century to save KL Rahul's Lucknow Super Giants in the high-scoring thriller against Chennai Super Kings. Stoinis, like MS Dhoni, blasted a boundary to complete a six-wicket victory over the defending champions in match No.39 of the IPL 2024.

Reacting to Stoinis' heroics during LSG's spectacular victory over CSK, the Lucknow Super Giants mentioned another 'MS' who capped things off in style at Chepauk. LSG took to social media to compliment the Australian all-rounder, posting a video of Stoinis gushing about Dhoni. Stoinis praised the former CSK captain and discussed Dhoni's ethos of winning important fights in run chases.

"Dhoni told this one thing to me."

"MS Dhoni said one thing to me. He added that in important games, everyone expects me to go above and beyond. I have to try something different. His slogan and way of speaking to himself is to stay there, stand motionless, and claim that everyone else will change. "I'm going to be the only one here who doesn't change, and that will put him ahead of everyone else," Stoinis recalled.

Chasing a massive score of 210 at Chepauk, KL Rahul's LSG were reduced to 88-3 after 10.6 overs. Stoinis startled Chepauk with his first IPL century, bringing the CSK bowlers to their knees. Stoinis' lone warrior performance shattered many records, leaving the LSG batsman unbeaten on 124 off 63 balls. Stoinis, who batted at a strike rate of more than 196, hit six sixes and 13 fours in his match-winning innings. The Australian hitter has the highest individual score against CSK in the IPL.

"It wasn't just go go go; there were some bowlers we wanted to target and others we wanted to be cautious of. There was a period where I couldn't hit the boundaries, so it was fantastic that Pooran could step in and take the pressure off. Lots of ebbs and flows; simply tried to keep it under control. You're planning and structuring; you don't like some bowlers and prefer others," Stoinis said after the match.

Vande Bharat passengers will now receive 500 ml water bottles, Railways informs.

In an effort to reduce drinking water waste, Indian Railways has announced that all Vande Bharat train passengers would henceforth receive 500 ml bottles throughout their journey.

Until today, passengers on the Vande Bharat Express were handed one-litre PDW bottles.

In short

  • Additional 500 mL bottles are available on demand at no additional cost.

  • Initiative tries to reduce water waste.

  • A similar initiative was implemented on Shatabdi trains in 2019.

The Indian Railways has announced that every Vande Bharat train passengers would henceforth receive a 500 mL bottle of Rail Need Packaged Drinking Water (PDW) during their journey. In addition, each passenger will receive another PDW bottle of 500 mL of water on demand at no additional cost. According to ANI, the move was made in an effort to reduce drinking water waste.

Until now, every Vande Bharat train passengers received one-litre water PDW bottles, comparable to Rajdhani Express. However, the railways have stated that not all passengers consume the whole one-litre of water, resulting in waste.

Furthermore, unlike Rajdhani trains, Vande Bharat trains do not traverse great distances, which may have contributed to the Railways' choice.

In 2019, a similar effort was implemented on Shatabdi trains, with passengers receiving 500 ml PDW bottles instead of one-litre ones.

Vande Bharat Express trains, which Prime Minister Narendra Modi announced in 2019, are now running on more than 40 routes across India. Prime Minister Modi launched off the inaugural train on the New Delhi-Kanpur-Allahabad-Varanasi route on February 15, 2019. The trains operate at semi-high speeds and are outfitted with a variety of modern amenities, like WiFi access, big glass windows, 32-inch entertainment screens, longer footrests, and a little pantry, among others.

Meanwhile, the Railways' introduction of the new water bottle policy coincided with an unprecedented heat wave in numerous Indian states, including West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Karnataka, Jharkhand, and Telangana.
